19 year old QLD Reds player, Liam Wright, has a bright future in Australian Rugby, after a stellar year. On 26 October, Wright was named ‘Under 20’s player of the year’ at the Rugby Australia Awards. Within the same week, Liam captained the NRC team against Fiji, leading it to victory, was named by Michael Cheika to attend the Wallabies camp, was selected for the Wallabies squad against the Barbarians and also selected for the Wallabies touring squad, set for Japan, Wales, England and Scotland.
