17 Dec David Pocock at the 2015 Rugby World Cup
David Pocock was undoubtedly Player of the Tournament in England during Novemeber, winning breakdown after breakdown. When he was missing against Scotland for the quarter-final, the Wallabies struggled badly, and could have easily been knocked out of the competition before the final four.
At the start of this international season, Michael Cheika had a difficult choice to make between Michael Hooper and David Pocock. He took Option C, playing the both of them in the back row. It proved to be an inspired choice, as England, Wales and Argentina could not live with them at the breakdown.
The good people of 7RugbyVids put together this highlight reel of Pocock’s breakdown dominance at the World Cup. What a beast.
Time after time, Pocock forced a turnover or a penalty. Despite the fact that they could not cap off a dream season for the Wallabies, it was most definitely a positive year for Pocock who put injury problems behind him to return to the top of the game on a global stage.
