Celebrity general Peter Cosgrove earned the respect of the Australian people as leader of the Comander of the International Forces in East Timor in 1999. Returning from Timor, he was appointed to Chief of Army and Australian of the Year, then rose to Australia’s top military role, Chief of the Defence Forces in 2002. Peter resigned from his 40 year military career in 2005 and now shares his leadership experience and insights into world affairs with those out of uniform.
